Rifruf Dry Dog Food Review

This brand of dry dog food, made by a family-run company in the USA, won our hearts with its clean ingredients and low fillers. It can be hard to find at your local pet store, and the hefty price tag isn’t ideal for smaller families. But Rifruf co-founder Peter Liu says that it’s helped his French bulldog Caesar with digestive issues, which can be a problem for brachycephalic dogs (like Frenchies) because their short snouts make it hard for them to digest high-fat foods.

PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester composed of an alternating chain of ethylene terephthalate monomers and ethylene glycol units. It is a versatile material that can be molded into bottle shapes, film extruded into sheets and even used as filament for 3D printing.

It offers a strong barrier against gases and moisture, and is very durable and lightweight. Its chemical stability and food safety is verified by the FDA and EU/NSF/FDA regulating bodies, and it’s easy to sterilize with HPP (high pressure processing), making it an ideal choice for packaged beverages, salad dressings, bottled water, frozen foods and more.

Although some myths have arisen about PET, it does not contain BPA (Bisphenol A), phthalates or dioxins, and heat treatment of recycled PET flakes removes any volatile components that could affect human health. It also does not leach chemicals into the environment, as it is very safe for recycling and reuse as a beverage container or other types of packaging.
