They are omnivores and eat meat, fish, eggs, milk, bread and other plants. They have sharp teeth so that they can easily chew meat. They usually live for about 10-16 years.

Generally, dogs can understand about 165 words and use their body language to communicate with people. They can also wag their tail to show happiness, lower it to display their dominance or show aggressive behavior by growling and showing their teeth. They are able to track emotions and can tell whether someone is lying or hiding something.

They are good companions to people and help in reducing stress and depression, loneliness, encourage exercise, improve cardiovascular health and boost mood. They are excellent guards and often accompany their masters to the fields, forests or beaches. They are very fast and have strong sense of smell, hearing and sight. They are very helpful to the disabled and elderly. They are very social and love to be around humans.
